HYAF Updates

·

As part of HYAF’s summer collaboration with Association Ibrahim Nassir Omais (AINO), a school for students with special needs in Zrariyeh, Lebanon, various sports and recreational equipment has been donated to the school based on their needs and requests. Equipment was donated in three phases that included three separate deliveries…

HYAF Lebanon 2025: Sports Deliveries

As mentioned earlier, the first delivery came from a list provided to HYAF by AINO in the spring. This delivery consisted of ping pong equipment, basketballs, a basketball hoop for children, a basketball hoop net, soccer balls, cones, agility poles, hula hoops and balance balls.

The second delivery was relatively smaller, where hula hoops were replaced with ones that are more durable and versatile, and additional agility poles were acquired.

Our third delivery was our largest one yet. After the first two deliveries were made, we were thankfully able to supply additional sports and educational equipment, thanks to our generous donations. That said, the following additional items were donated as a part of our third delivery:

  • Cones
  • Ball bags
  • Hula hoops
  • Wooden colored cubes
  • Magnetic blocks
  • Laser pointers
  • Stress balls
  • Clay
  • Sand blocks
  • Beads
  • Legos

Each item donated serves “a therapeutic or educational goal, whether it be motor planning, emotional regulation, creative exploration, or focused engagement,” as AINO states.

In total, over 637 individual pieces/items were donated to AINO this summer. Thank you so much to AINO and our donors for making this possible. We look forward to future collaboration!
