HYAF School Sports Clinic

After such an amazing summer, what better way than to finish it off with a sports clinic full of fun! On the first day of August, the HYAF and A4B worked together to organize the most recent sports clinic. This project put together the funding accumulated from our summer donations to host a grand event for both teachers and students.

What is a “Sports Clinic”

To many students, the concept of a sports clinic is not contextual and it is difficult to understand what really is going on during this session. Lets break it down!

This years sports clinic involved team bonding exercises, snacks, competition and most importantly the donation of the HYAF funded sports library.

At a sports clinic, All 4 Ball and HYAF strive to bring teachers and students together to connect over athletics and competition. Teams of teachers competed with students in futsal matches, wellness challenges and dribbling drills. By fostering this connection through sports, we hope to bring the same enthusiasm back to school.

School Collaboration

This session, we worked with the Kalidevi School and Basuki schools in the Mahalaxmi area. These schools are in very remote and rural areas with little access to sporting materials.

Before the sports clinic we traveled to both schools to hype up the event and learn more about the school’s specific needs.

When meeting with the students, many had never gotten to play futsal before making the sports clinic the first time for many athletes.

Activities

The sports clinic included multiple stations, one featuring sports wellness, and two others focused on dribbling and technical skills.
