HYAF/AINO Updates: Mats Delivered, Impacts Made

AINO is a school that highly prioritizes the safety of its students. As opposed to hard floors that pose a variety of risks if someone were to slip or fall, foam mats provide an extra layer of security that can mitigate major injury risks.

Beyond the mats, as a whole, AINO students are making immense improvements with the new recreational and educational equipment donated by HYAF! The balls, cones, sticks, and hula-hoops have shown to “help children strengthen balance coordination, spatial awareness, and motor planning, while also supporting gait training and overall body control,” as stated by AINO. Moreover, the legos and beads showed to “enhance fine motor skills, grip strength, hand-eye coordination, sequencing, visual discrimination, and problem-solving.”

Not only that, but AINO students are seeing social improvements, with the school stating that students are now engaging with their peers more often, especially during team building activities and collaborative tasks. Students are more confident in their abilities and are showing significant intellectual growth.

Further regarding the physical side, students continue to show major improvements. Students are displaying enhanced body awareness, coordination, and movement control. Moreover, during fine-motor sessions and activities, many children are demonstrating longer attention-spans, more confident use of both hands, and clearer problem-solving strategies, as described by AINO.

Overall, it is very exciting to see the improvements that the students of AINO are making. The HYAF/AINO partnership has been nothing short of a success so far, and we hope to continue our collaborations in the future!
